Beaujolais
The Beaujolais region, north of Lyon, has made its fame with fruity, light red wines made from the Gamay grape variety. The most exciting wines are made in the north, where the ten crus of Beaujolais highlight the best terroirs of the region, and styles vary markedly from one cru to the next.
