Nicholas Cleef acquired Kleine Zalze in 1695, his belief that Stellenbosch had the potential to produce world class wines led to him developing Kleine Zalze into a wine estate. The result is wines with the intensity of the ‘New World’ with its full fruit flavours combines with the elegance and structure of the ‘Old World’ to yield wines of character, complexity and balance that reflect the terroir and climate.
