Garnacha
Garnacha, also known as Grenache, is a red wine grape variety from Spain. It ripens late so it does prefer hot and dry climates such as Spain and south of France. It is berry flavoured and spicy, relatively high in alcohol, with subtle white pepper notes. In Spain there are wines entirely made with Garnacha, although it is mostly used to blend the Rioja wines with Tempranillo.
