Louis Roederer Collection 242 Edition Champagne is presented in a Louis Roederer gift box. The 242 Edition marks a new era for Louis Roederer where the effects of climate change and the increased importance of practising sustainable viticulture have shaped the style of this Champagne. The creation of Collection values the environment in order to wholly expose the characteristics of the terroir.
The collection is created from a range of parcels found in the heart of the Champagne region that are suited to its identity and where the emphasis is on sustainable growing practices.
Collection 242 is a blend of 10% oak-aged reserve wines from 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 with 34% Perpetual Reserve and 56% of the most exquisite grapes from the 2017 harvest.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Initially notes of zesty citrus fruits, acacia blossom and white peach. Followed by toasted nuts adding an attractive softness to the blend and some smoky notes. The finish brings forward baked apples, hazelnuts and ripe red fruits.
A great match to go with fresh shellfish or try with roasted squash salad.
